FC Dallas has chance to prove they’re for real
After a nine-match unbeaten streak in MLS action (and 13-match unbeaten streak in all competitions since the PK loss to Philadelphia technically goes down as a draw), FC Dallas finds itself in a position to come real close to get back to the top of the conference with a win Friday night at home against conference leader Real Salt Lake in a nationally televised affair. And with it, the Hoops have the best shot to prove that they are no fluke and different than the team from the past couple of seasons and announce that they are here with a win in arguably the biggest match in MLS this year.

Time for FC Dallas to capitalize on momentum
The best part about FC Dallas' 2-1 win over Vancouver Saturday night wasn't that they actually won the game. It wasn't Blas Perez's half-cross, half-prayer of a goal to open the scoring. It wasn't even that they bounced back after the Whitecaps had tied to take the three points. Instead, the best part about that win is that they didn't let the past two loses turn into three and another late season swoon.

Western Conference likely to again boast of MLS Cup winner
To say that the Western Conference is stacked is an understatement. Last year, it was a brutal conference just to get into the postseason. Just ask the Portland Timbers, who finished the season with 49 points, a total that might have put them into the playoffs on the Eastern Conference side of the bracket (depending on how the tiebreakers went).
