Let’s make your new small business website a reality

Let’s Make Your Website a Reality!

You’re hopefully now at the stage where you’re looking for a developer. So let me show you what I can do for you.

Take that next step

Hopefully by now you know what you’re getting yourself into. If you’ve read through the guide you’ve downloaded (and I highly recommend doing that before you go any further) you know the next series of steps in the process of building your website.

At this stage, you should know whether or not you actually need a new website, what that website needs to do and what you want in it to grow your business. Now you’re on to finding that one developer that can make it a reality.

So let me show you how I can help you build that new website.

Types of Websites

Pre-built WordPress Theme

If you’re just starting out with your business or if you don’t quite have the resources, using a pre-built WordPress theme and skinning it to meet your branding is a great option. While a custom theme might seem like the end all be all, if you’re at this stage, you just need a clean, responsive website for a relatively inexpensive price.

And there are some really good pre-built themes out there that can get the job done for you and your business. StudioPress themes are some of the best out there. We’ll look through a bunch of different themes for you to choose from, and then I’ll get it up and running and ready for your business. Your business will have a new website in relatively no time.

Custom Theme

If your business is more established but you want your website to stand out from the crowd, then you’re probably better off going with a custom theme for your site. Because this will involve a more comprehensive design and development stage, it will cost more, but the end result will be worth the added price.

This new website will do everything you want, from the exact look and feel to all of the functionality you need. The website will no doubt be your website. From the homepage to custom landing pages to all of the branding, this website will just scream your business and your story. This is something that can really take your business to the next level.

What You’ll Get

Clean, Responsive Website

No matter what type of site you go with — either a custom theme or pre-built one — at the end of the day, you’re going to end up with a website that works for your business. It will be modern, clean and responsive — which is the most important part these days. You’ll have a website that you can be proud of when you’re out networking and meeting potential clients.

Accessibility

Did you know that about 18.7 percent of internet users have some sort of disability? That means these people are using other tools other than the mouse to navigate your website. I can help create and implement a website for you that makes it easy for them to learn more about your business, shop and come away with a positive experience.

SEO Friendly

Most people coming to your website will come from search engines. So it’s important to have a website that makes it easy for people and search engines to read. I’m not the perfect SEO expert, but I do know how to build a website that gives you a solid foundation for your SEO efforts.

WordPress

WordPress is the largest content management system on the internet. Top sites like The Walt Disney Company, The Undefeated and FiveThirtyEight use it. It has a strong core and backend, relatively easy workflow and a great community for help and inspiration. It’s the perfect platform to set up any website.

Site Maintenance

Websites aren’t just something you set and then forget after a while. They need to be taken care of. You need to update plugins, themes and WordPress core. And you need to be adding content fairly regularly so things don’t get stale. I offer website maintenance plans for after the initial build is complete. The simple plan is free for a year while you can get half off the platinum plan for the first year, which include Google Analytics reports and help with content planning.

Training

A new website comes with a lot of new worries, not least of which is how to use the website now. But there’s no need to worry. Once the site is launched and live, I’ll work with you on a training session to teach you the ins and outs of your new website. And you’ll have written documentation that you can refer to at anytime. By the end, you’ll feel confident that you can run your site with ease.

A Place to Call Home

Above all, at the end of the project, you’re going to get a place to call home online. Aside from your brick-and-mortar store (if you have one), your website is the most important part of your business. And it’s the place you’ll direct people when you’re networking, posting online or running a digital marketing campaign. And it will be welcoming for everyone who’s coming to see what you do.

Online Shopping

Are you looking to sell your products online? It’s a pretty big undertaking, but if it’s part of your plan, I can help make it happen on your site. Whether your products are physical or digital, I can utilize plugins like WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads to give you an online storefront to sell to the world.
