Introduction to Small Business Website Planning

Every small business needs a website to be found online. But it can be tricky. This video series will walk you through all of the steps for a great website.

Every small business needs a website no matter how big or small they are. People are increasingly going to the internet to find the information and products that they need. If you’re not online, no one will find you.

But creating a website can be risky. Where do you begin? What platform should you use? Should you sell online? How do you do this right?

It can lead to nothing being done.

Hi. My name is Jacob Martella. I’ve been a web developer since 2012 and currently work at the UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth as a web developer. But I also freelance helping small businesses build the websites they need to grow their business.

And now I want to help you.

I’ve developed a website planning guide for small businesses. It goes through the steps of building a website, from planning to finding the developer, to explaining what the discovery process is to the design and development phase to content and finally launch and post launch support.

Over the course of the next set of videos, we’re going to walk through each of these steps in more detail. The goal is to give you a fairly thorough understanding of the entire process. That way, no matter if you work with me, another developer or do it yourself, you’ll have the confidence to know what you’re doing and that you’ll end up with a website that will help your business.

So if you’re looking to build a website for your business, I hope you follow along as we go through this journey. Before you know it, you’ll be telling your story online to a worldwide audience.
