Hey there and welcome to 2022!
As the calendar flips to the new year, I wanted to give you a brief update on the business here as well as what you can expect in the way of content over the course of the next 12 months.
(And spoiler alert: it’s all about helping you, your business and your website.)
So let’s see what’s been planned for the next year or so.
Creating WordPress plugins and themes
First off, I am pivoting a bit to focusing more on creating WordPress plugins and themes for people to use on their websites. I’ve found that it’s a bit more stable and easier to create these types of products with yearly licenses.
You’ve probably already seen this with the Local SEO plugin I released in early December. And as the WordPress space moves to full site editing, I would love to explore what I can create with that for small businesses so that they can create a unique-looking website without having to pay for a completely custom website design.
Also, I am looking at creating a block pattern website with a bunch of cool block patterns for small businesses, like product listings, checkout forms and more. If there’s something you would like to see in a plugin like that, please let me know.
Still offering WordPress Website Care and creating affordable websites
At the same time, I am still planning on offering WordPress Website Care plans as well as creating affordable websites for those looking to create their first website for their business.
I have updated the WP Website Care plans a bit to make them a bit more affordable, especially for someone who just needs updates managed and peace of mind in case anything goes wrong. So I highly encourage you to check it out if you’re looking for someone to be like a part time chief technology officer for your business’ website.
And with the affordable websites plan, I’m looking to help businesses get their starts online. This is a service that can help a business create their first website (or even their first real website), so that they have a foundation to build their digital marketing efforts from.
If you have any questions about either of those, please feel free to reach out for more information.
Creating content to help you
Finally here on the blog (plus the YouTube channel), I’m going to be focusing on creating content that’s going to help you and your website (and ultimately your business).
At the end of each blog post or video or resource, there should be a set of actionable steps you can take to improve your website. Whether it’s something small, like changing content on a couple of pages, or something big, like redesigning your entire website, you should leave with something that will give your website a boost.
Again, this blog exists to help you.
I want to hear from you
At the end of the day, this is all to help you, your website and your business. So I would like to hear from you about what you want me to talk about or create content about.
You can let me know through the comments of this post, the contact form or just by emailing me. But either way, you can help steer the conversation to give you the insights and help you need to succeed with your website.
Best of luck to you and your business here in 2022! See you back here on the blog.
