Channel Update

Happy New Year! I know that just flipping the calendar from 2020 to 2021 won’t really erase the heartbreak and struggles we’ve all gone through , but I hope that you truly have something to look forward to in 2021. Speaking of looking forward, I just wanted to share an update about what you can…

Hey there and welcome back!

So happy new year. I know that just flipping the calendar to 2021 and popping champagne won’t erase the fears, challenges and problems that we had yesterday in 2020. And I know that there is a lot of worry about what 2021 might bring.

But the new year is a time for hope, at the very least. And I hope that you at least have something hopeful that you can look forward to in 2021. It is a time for new beginnings.

Speaking of new beginnings, I wanted to take some time to discuss what you’re going to be seeing here on this channel and on my website in 2021. And I also want to let you know I’ll be offering this year and beyond.

So first off here you’ll be seeing more videos that will help you with your website and digital marketing. And they will be practical things that you can do immediately after the video or to start planning after you watch. For example, this month we’ll be discussing website trends you can expect in 2021 and also even how you can purchase that perfect domain name. And those are just a few of the many things I hope to bring you here this year.

I’ve done the obligatory keyword research into the topics and what people are searching for when it comes to websites, but if you have something you would like me to take a deeper dive into, be sure to leave those down in the comments section below or you can reach out to me via email.

And don’t worry. If you love the WordPress content, that will still be here every Wednesday.

Next, if you’ve checked out my website, you’ll notice a pretty drastic redesign. Among the many things I’ve tried to do with this redesign is to make it a really great place for people to learn about WordPress, websites, web design, SEO, digital marketing and again all of those website related topics. There are what I’m calling learning playlists where you can read through a set of posts that can help you do something like create a website or jump start your SEO efforts.

Additionally, I’ll be working on better resources, infographics and guides that you can use to help your website journey. Oh and by the way, at some point early this year, I’m hoping to release a eBook, the Ultimate Small Business Website Guide. This will not only cover how to create a website, but more importantly what a website actually is and why you should be building a website. So be on the lookout for that.

Also, if you like getting emails into your inbox, I’m re-starting the small business websites newsletter on Monday. This is a monthly newsletter that dives deep into a website-related topic, gives you actionable items and shares links to where you can learn more about the topic. You still have time to sign up for January’s newsletter before it gets sent.

Finally, I want to mention what I can physically do for you. Pretty obviously I build a website for your business if you want. I am pretty flexible and can build a website that fits basically any budget. Also, if you have a WordPress website and are tired of managing the technical side of it, like the updates, the security and all of that fun business and don’t want to take care of that anymore, I can take care of that for you as well. Links to all of those are down in the description below.

As always, you can follow along on Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels that I have linked to. And of course, be sure to hit the subscribe button and ring the bell for notifications if you haven’t already done so.

There’s a lot to worry about in 2021 right now. But I hope that this time next year you can see an upward trajectory.

As always, I wish you and your business and your family the best of luck!
