So a little after posting last week’s update on the Nuovo theme, I finally really reached the point where it wasn’t really worth getting into the super fine details of cleaning up the theme and decided to test the waters of the WordPress Theme Review and see what happens.
And now the waiting games begin.
Fortunately, or unfortunately (depending on your view) a lot of people are uploading themes for review everyday and there’s quite the backlog of themes up for review. There are some themes that have yet to be reviewed for the first time in three weeks. Now, I’m not complaining about the reviewers being slow because I know they’re doing all that they can and they have a system that works. It’s just slightly frustrating to wait and hope and pray that all goes well and that it is accepted.
So while that waiting game goes on, I’ve been working more on pre-production on the Giornalismo theme. I’ve got mock ups done for the desktop side and a good chunk of the way through creating mock ups for the tablet version, all the while marking down font sizes, families and dimensions of photos so that creating the theme hopefully goes a lot smoother and comes out the way I hope the first time around.
I’m also starting to learn how to create WordPress plugins so those might get added to this update once I figure out some ideas on what to do.
In the meantime, here are a few more of the mock ups for Giornalismo.
