So this past week has been a pretty good week with the WordPress theme development. Since this time last week, I’ve submitted Giornalismo for the theme review to get into the WordPress Theme Directory as well as the Nuovo 2.0 update. That has gotten a lot off of my plate development-wise, but now comes the not-so-fun part: waiting.
It’s sort of a necessary evil with WordPress themes for the directory. Every theme needs to be checked for correct code, possible malicious code and works correctly to keep WordPress users happy. But at the same time the wait times are little bit too much. Not that I’m complaining about the reviewers, but the amount of themes that are submitted per day are crazy.
Thankfully the review team is doing their best to address this issue, but I’m not sure how much it will affect Giornalismo going through at this point.
Anyway, as for what’s coming up, I’m continuing to work on the Read More About plugin. A lot of the development is hung up on creating repeating custom fields, but I feel like I should have that knocked out soon. The goal is to have it done by the end of next week.
