    A soft opening for Giornalismo

Roughly 10 months after sketching it out in a journal and just barely starting writing the code, the heavy duty development with Giornalismo is over.

    Moving right along with Nuovo

To say that the work with the rebuild of Nuovo has been quick might be an understatement. This time last week I was only a part way through the different templates. Now, seven days later, I’ve finished all of the template files and have put it up on the development site. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite…

    Playing the waiting game

    , ,

So this past week has been a pretty good week with the WordPress theme development. Since this time last week, I’ve submitted Giornalismo for the theme review to get into the WordPress Theme Directory as well as the Nuovo 2.0 update. That has gotten a lot off of my plate development-wise, but now comes the…

Things have been really busy around here, particularly with Texas athletic director Steve Patterson resigning last week and a lot of schoolwork due…

Nearing the end for Fotographia and good news with Giornalismo

    ,

It’s been a busy and fun last couple of weeks of web development for me. Last week, Giornalismo was accepted into the WordPress Theme Directory and with it comes the end of just over a year’s worth of work on the theme. That has also led to really good development with Fotographia.

So this is it. After a couple of months of work, I’m just about ready to submit Fotographia to the WordPress Theme Directory for review.

The plan after a break from WordPress

It’s been a long three-plus months. My final fall semester in college was everything that I could handle… and then some. But the semester is finally over for me and with it an opportunity to get back into developing in WordPress.

So it’s been a couple of weeks since I started the process of creating my new theme, Fotographia. Since the last update, I’ve finished the mockups and begun the process of creating and styling the templates themselves.
